An experienced professional at your wedding is invaluable. Your photographer needs to be able to anticipate moments, be flexible on the spot, know how to assist you in scheduling your day-of timeline and be able to conquer any lighting and weather condition that may arise.
THE BOUTIQUE SERVICE
- Imagery By Marianne is a boutique photography studio. What does that mean?
Your wedding is unique & important & you want a photographer that thinks the same way. The advantage to having a "Boutique-style" photographer is that I photograph an average of 15-20 weddings per year as apposed to large studios that book double this amount. This ensures that you'll receive more attention & care each step of the way a& your wedding photographs will show more of your unique personalities rather than a cookie-cutter style that is done the same way at every wedding.
Do the photographers that you are considering have personalities, ones that you will love working with over the next year or so? Your photographer is one of the wedding vendors that you'll have contact with the most: before, during and after your wedding, so make sure they are knowledgeable, calm and have a pleasant demeanor that you'll want around for a while.
Do the photographers that you are considering say they deliver your proofs within six or eight weeks? Ask to see proofs from a recent wedding and compare the date that the gallery was posted with the date on the invitation picture. Don't get stuck with someone who over-promises on deadlines and then doesn't deliver! My brides see their proofs within four to six weeks tops. My contract says eight to cover any issues that I may experience but I am a firm believer in over-delivering.
THE UNIQUE PRODUCTS
Many of my clients are excited when they hear that I sell a variety of other products, not JUST albums. I am often complimented on the various unique products in my product guide and I give all of my wedding clients a special discount on ordering those items after the delivery of their wedding proofs.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
To assure that you have booked me for your wedding date, I require a $2,000 retainer and electronically signed wedding photography contract. Your package balance is due 14 days before the wedding date.
