November and December were extremely busy months for me. Not only did I have my holiday mini-sessions planned but I had an influx on newborn babies scheduled in my studio and I was just came back from my own maternity leave. (Marlee was born at the end of September!)
This holiday studio newborn session is another example of a Platinum newborn session (My largest package). Booking a Platinum newborn package gives us 3 hours to play and experiment with backdrops, poses and outfits. It provides time for family, photos of the baby with each parent, if there are any siblings, photos of the baby with them and then plenty of time to devote to the baby’s photos.
The more time that I can have with the baby really is best because if the baby needs to eat or be soothed, we do not feel the pressure of being finished within an hour or two. Many clients feel that more than an hour is a lot of time but when your posing a baby in these cute, sometimes nude poses, the baby has to be very warm and comfortable and have a full belly. If the baby is not 100% happy, if can take a very long time to get them there.
Once a newborn session is booked, I will send you a list of tips and tricks to make baby as happy as can be the morning of the session. From a warm bath to a front zip up sleeper and feeding prior to or when you arrive to the session, depending on your distance.
The main reason that I offer three packages is so that I can provide my services to more families, some that may have a tighter budget and others just prefer that the newborn is the only one photographed.
