40th Anniversary Party & Vow Renewal | Union County NJ Wedding Photographer

Heather contacted me about photographing a surprise party that she was planning with her sister for their parents 40th wedding anniversary. The party was held at The Westwood in Garwood, NJ. We all stood in silence behind a closed door to the room and waited to hear their footsteps get close to the door. Everyone was on edge waiting for the right moment to yell, surprise!

Everyone was so excited and hoped to keep the surprise a secret. On top of a surprise party, the ladies also put together a surprise vow renewal service for their parents to renew their wedding vows! So not only was this couple going to be surprised with a large room of family and friends to party, but they were going to walk in, be shocked, and then renew their wedding vows all at once!

The parents were definitely surprised! They could not believe the party that their children put together and managed to keep a secret for weeks. It was sooo fun to be a part of this family’s party. They were all full of love, laugher, and impressive dancing skills 🙂 Everyone had a great time, you could tell because almost every attendant was on the dance floor!
