The day has finally come! Our first wedding of the 2012 season! Evelyn & Steve were married on May 26th at an indoor ceremony location located inside The Westin Hotel in Jersey City and the ceremony was followed by an intimate dinner at Amanda’s in Hoboken.

Eveyln & Steve decided to do a “First Look”, when the couple decides to see each other before the ceremony. They had a wonderful and emotional moment together as they saw each other for the first time in a private setting on the top floor of  The Westin. Afterward, we went outside for portraits, but once the drizzle of rain started to hit the streets of Jersey City, we went right back into The Westin to finish the rest of the portraits and then make our way upstairs for the ceremony.

Evelyn & Steve had a lovely room reserved at Amanda’s for their reception dinner where everyone could sit around the bride & groom. Evelyn & Steve actually had their first dance immediately following the ceremony at The Westin because there was not enough room to dance at Amanda’s and they didn’t have another other dancing planned into their reception. It was lovely that everyone was able to sit and watch right after the first kiss. Kristen and I were very lucky that Evelyn & Steve found us and we were able to share their special day with them.

Steve proposed to Evelyn at a restaurant where they had had their first date. He left her a message that day that said, Love is Forever…..be ready at 7pm, so at the end of the reception, we asked Evelyn & Steve to take a picture with chalkboards that we wrote that exact message on. They loved it!
