Jody & Tom were married on May 27th, over the long Memorial Day weekend at McLoone’s Pier House located in Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ. We could not have asked for a more perfect day for a beach wedding. Jody and Tom decided to do a “First Look”, which is when a couple will see each other before the ceremony. Some couple choose to do this because they like to have an intimate moment alone before they pledge their love in from of sometimes hundreds of friends and family and others do it for the sake of getting all of their formal pictures taken before the ceremony so they can enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests.

The couple did their “First Look” at Victory Park in Rumson, NJ. I went with the groom ahead of the bus that held the bride. I took a few pictures of Tom getting ready for the big moment and Kristen followed the bride to meet us. They met at a gazebo and Kristen and I instructed them as they turned around and saw each other for the first time. Those moments are always really emotional and make me want to cry too!

After the first look, we went to the beachfront of McLoone’s for the wedding ceremony. There were a ton of people on the boardwalk watching the ceremony because of the holiday weekend. Afterward, we went up to McLoone’s reception space and it was absolutely stunning! It is a gorgeous venue for a wedding & reception and the lighting in the reception space was amazing.
