Baby Lucas is a newborn baby that was born 10 days early and just after Valentines Day, Feb 15th! Did I mention that I love to photographing newborns?! They are so precious and sweet. I am so happy for my friends Anil and Ron for the new additon to their family. Mike and I had a great time playing with and photographing baby Lucas for the first time and having dinner with his parents at their home in Princeton, NJ.

Baby Lucas was mainly hungry and sleepy while we visited, so we did not take too many posed pictures of him. Timing, unfortunately, has a lot to do with newborn photography. The pictures are best taken when the baby is over full (stuffed), in a climate controlled room with lots of window light and special sounds that the baby is familiar with that sounds like the womb. I try to always have clients come to my home for newborn photos as I have the best controlled resourses for this tyep of photography.

Their dog, Ozzie, loves to be involved too. I had to take a few pictures of him trying to take the attention away from baby Lucas. Ozzie is going to be a wonderful “brother” to Lucas. He is such a well mannered dog and you can tell how much he wants to be friends with Lucas.

I can’t wait to play with Lucas on the beach this summer, a place I am sure he will love as much as his parents do! 🙂
