Picnic Engagement Session with Dog | Union County Wedding Photographer 

Jane & Edward found me through the Fearless Photographers website where I have a listing. I met with them for a consultation and a few days later they contacted me and told me that they would like to book me as their wedding photographer for their wedding this August in Mountainside, NJ. We spoke about all of the details involved in the wedding and then we started to plan their engagement session. Jane & Ed expressed to me early on that they wanted to take their engagement pictures at Echo Lake Park because they go there on a regular basis and it is a dog friendly park so they could bring their beagle, Mickey, with them.

They are having a rustic theme throughout their wedding and are doing something that I thought was insanely cool, they are donating money to an organization, Beagle Freedom Project, to save beagles from animal testing so they brought their extension of their family, Mickey, and he starred in many of their engagement pictures. Mickey was so funny! He was very well behaved and actually looked when I tried my hardest to whistle, which I stink at but he was alert when I needed him to be. Ed tied Mickey up a few times so we could take a few images of just Jane & Ed without worrying about Mickey’s expression.

They brought a blanket, mason jars & a picnic basket to have a little picnic at the end of our shoot. It was perfect because the sun was setting right behind them at that point. I can’t wait to see what they do with the images for the donation announcement at their wedding!
